Shift: 2nd Shift – 2:00 PM–10:30 PM OR 3rd Shift – 9:30 PM–6:00 AM

Job Summary

Supervise production, maintenance, and warehouse employees to achieve departmental goals related to safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency.
Lead daily manufacturing operations while ensuring employee performance, process improvements, and compliance with company policies and safety standards.

Job Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and lead departmental activities to achieve objectives in safety, quality, production schedules, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
Investigate and resolve system, material, employee, and process-related issues to improve performance and reduce operational costs.
Monitor employee and production line performance, administer company policies, and take corrective or disciplinary action when necessary.
Coordinate with safety teams, enforce safety regulations, and ensure employees have proper training, work instructions, and tools.
Manage equipment maintenance, facility utilization, departmental budgets, and continuous improvement initiatives to maximize operational efficiency.

Qualifications

Required Skills & Experience

2+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in production operations.
Strong leadership, employee management, communication, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and other computer applications.
Ability to manage production schedules, safety standards, employee performance, daily overtime, and weekend operations.

Desired Skills

Experience supervising fabrication operations, including primary and secondary production, welding, machining, or painting.

Education

Four-year degree preferred. Minimum high school diploma or equivalent with relevant manufacturing supervisory experience.

Additional Requirements

Must be willing to work off-shifts, typically 3rd shift, along with daily overtime and weekends.
Weekend work is mandatory on a rotating schedule with other production supervisors.
May be required to provide supervisory coverage across fabrication departments at Davenport Works.
