Job Title: Supervisor, Coding

Work Arrangement: Hybrid

Location: Houston, TX

Salary Range: $70,618 to $88,666

FLSA Status: Exempt

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Summary

The coding supervisor provides leadership, guidance, and operational oversight of our medical coding team. This position ensures coding accuracy, quality, productivity and compliance among the coding team. The supervisor manages the staff in day to day operations.

This position is located at our Greenway Plaza location.

Job Duties

• Supervises and supports medical coders, including hiring, training, coaching, and performance management.
• Monitors coding productivity.
• Conducts audits to monitor code selection quality, and accuracy standards.
• Manages staff schedules, time-off requests, holiday coverage and attendance to ensure adequate staffing levels and uninterrupted operations.
• Monitors employee attendance, approve leave requests, and coordinate workload distribution to maintain productivity and service level expectations.
• Monitors Supervisor''s work queues for charges that need supervisor review or action.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Four years of relevant experience.
• Certified Professional Coder (CPC) from AAPC.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree.
