Provides technical expertise and guidance for the section; assists the Technical Director in the consolidation and standardization of laboratory testing. Acts as liaison for the Laboratory and Nursing & Medical staffs.     Responsibilities:


    EDUCATION

    • M.S. or M.A. or B.S. or B.A. degree

    • NYS Licensure required
    • MT (ASCP) registered/eligible or equivalent


    EXPERIENCE

    • M.S. or M.A. - Two (2) years of clinical laboratory work subsequent to graduation
    • B.S or B.A. - Four (4) years of clinical laboratory work subsequent to graduation


    KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY
    • Demonstrated supervisory skills
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
    • Ability to work in stressful situations
    • Ability to work with infectious and/or hazardous material
    • Customer focused
