Description

The Assistant Supervisor supports the Project Manager in overseeing daily janitorial operations across assigned sites. This role works closely with frontline teams, provides hands‑on leadership during night‑shift operations, and assists with weekend project execution. The Assistant Supervisor helps ensure service quality, safety compliance, accurate payroll processing, and strong communication between staff, management, and clients.

Compensation: $55,000 per year salary (U.S. Dollars)

  • Previous experience in janitorial, facilities, or operations support preferred.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively with night‑shift and weekend teams.
  • Ability to conduct inspections, identify issues, and support corrective actions.
  • Comfortable working late evenings and weekends as required by project schedules.
  • Basic understanding of payroll processes, labor hours, and operational reporting.
  • Reliable transportation and ability to travel between sites as needed.

Operational Support

  • Collaborate directly with the Project Manager to support day‑to‑day operations and ensure contract requirements are met.
  • Work alongside the night crew, staying late as needed to provide supervision, guidance, and support.
  • Assist with weekend projects, including staffing, coordination, and onsite oversight.
  • Help manage schedules, staffing adjustments, and daily operational needs.

Training & Team Development

  • Train new and existing employees on cleaning procedures, safety protocols, equipment use, and quality standards.
  • Provide ongoing coaching and support to ensure consistent performance and adherence to company policies.

Quality & Safety Inspections

  • Conduct routine quality inspections across assigned areas to ensure service excellence.
  • Perform safety audits, identify deficiencies, and support corrective action plans.
  • Ensure compliance with company safety standards and regulatory requirements.

Administrative & Payroll Responsibilities

  • Assist with weekly payroll processing, including verifying hours, reviewing timesheets, and ensuring accuracy.
  • Support documentation, reporting, and communication required for operational and client needs.
  • Help track work orders, project hours, and labor allocation.

Client & Team Communication

  • Maintain clear communication with the Project Manager regarding site needs, staffing issues, and operational updates.
  • Support client requests by gathering information, coordinating responses, and ensuring timely follow‑through.
