    Position Summary

    The 2nd shift Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily manufacturing operations on 2nd shift to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant production within a regulated medical device environment. This role leads a team of production employees, drives continuous improvement, and ensures adherence to quality systems, regulatory requirements, and company standards at IPG Medical.

    Production Operations

    • Supervise and coordinate daily 2nd shift production activities to meet output, quality, and delivery targets
    • Monitor workflow, staffing levels, and production schedules to ensure optimal efficiency
    • Identify and resolve production issues in real time to minimize downtime
    • Ensure proper use of equipment, tools, and materials

    Team Leadership

    • Lead, coach, and develop a team of production associates, technicians, and/or operators
    • Conduct performance management activities including feedback, coaching, and evaluations
    • Schedule staffing to meet production needs, including overtime planning as necessary
    • Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement

    Quality & Compliance

    • Ensure strict adherence to FDA, ISO, GMP, and other regulatory requirements
    • Maintain compliance with IPG Medical quality systems and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
    • Support audits (internal and external) and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA)
    • Ensure documentation accuracy and completeness

    Safety

    • Maintain a safe work environment by enforcing safety policies and procedures
    • Conduct safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations
    • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with OSHA standards

    Continuous Improvement

    • Drive Lean manufacturing initiatives and process improvements
    • Participate in root cause analysis and problem-solving activities
    • Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) such as yield, efficiency, scrap, and downtime
    • Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain teams
