    Production Supervisor - 2nd Shift

    Location: Addison, IL 60101
    Schedule: 2nd Shift | Approximately 2:45 PM - 12:00 AM
    Reports To: Operations Manager

    About Opportunity

    Flowserve is seeking a hands-on, people-focused Production Supervisor to lead our 2nd growing Shift manufacturing operation in. This role is ideal for a leader who thrives in a fast-paced production environment, enjoys developing employees, and is comfortable making decisions independently while driving safety, quality, and operational performance.

    The successful candidate will play a critical role in leading daily operations, supporting continuous improvement efforts, and helping build a strong culture of accountability, teamwork, and employee engagement.

    What You'll Do

    • Lead all 2nd shift manufacturing operations and production activities.
    • Ensure a safe working environment and compliance with company policies and procedures.
    • Drive production performance, quality standards, and on-time delivery goals.
    • Monitor and improve key performance indicators (KPIs), including productivity, efficiency, utilization, scrap, and rework.
    • Coach, mentor, and develop production employees.
    • Conduct employee training, performance discussions, and safety meetings.
    • Support staffing, employee engagement, and workforce development initiatives.
    • Troubleshoot operational issues and implement corrective actions.
    • Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Operations teams.
    • Maintain accountability for shift performance and facility operations.
    • Serve as the primary leadership presence on 2nd shift.
    • Step in and assist employees when business needs require a hands-on leadership approach.

    What We're Looking For

    Required Qualifications

    • Manufacturing, production, or operations leadership experience.
    • Experience leading teams in a manufacturing environment.
    • Strong understanding of safety, production, and continuous improvement principles.
    • Experience managing KPIs and operational performance metrics.
    • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to lead independently and make sound decisions.
    • Flexibility to support business needs and changing priorities.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, or a related field.
    • Experience with Lean Manufacturing tools such as:
      • Value Stream Mapping (VSM)
      • 6S
      • SMED
      • FMEA
      • Continuous Improvement methodologies
    • Understanding of CNC machining environments.
    • Experience in industrial manufacturing, machining, fabrication, welding, pumps, valves, aerospace, or similar industries.
    • Familiarity with ISO quality systems.
    • Ability to speak Polish or Ukrainian is a plus.

    Work Environment

    This position supports a growing 2nd shift operation and will oversee a team of approximately 5-20 employees. The successful candidate must be comfortable working in a dynamic manufacturing environment where production priorities and staffing needs may shift.

    Schedule Expectations

    • Typical schedule begins around 2:45 PM and ends around 12:00 AM
    • Minimum 9-hour workday
    • Occasional shifts up to 10 hours may be required based on production demands
    • Flexibility is important as the operation continues to grow
