Job Title: Construction Superintendent / Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO)Job Description
The Construction Superintendent / Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO) oversees day-to-day field operations for multiple federal construction projects at secure facilities in Virginia, including work at Quantico and the Pentagon. This role coordinates all onsite activities to ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, and in full compliance with NAVFAC, DoD, and contract requirements. The Superintendent / SSHO serves as the primary onsite leader and safety authority, managing subcontractors, enforcing safety and quality standards, and acting as the main point of contact with Government representatives and facility stakeholders.

Work Environment
This role is fully onsite at secure federal facilities in Virginia, including work at the Pentagon in Arlington, VA and the Quantico base in VA. The position operates within active, occupied environments where mission-critical activities continue during construction. The work setting involves close coordination with Government representatives, facility stakeholders, and multiple subcontractors, often in mechanically intensive areas such as rooftops and mechanical rooms. Field operations require consistent presence on site, adherence to strict safety and security protocols, and comfort working in and around active military or federal installations. The environment emphasizes compliance with EM 385-1-1 safety standards, NAVFAC quality control processes, and federal scheduling and inspection requirements.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $120000.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
