POSITION PURPOSE:
The Superintendent of Paratransit Maintenance is responsible for overseeing all maintenance operations related to the Authority's paratransit and light automotive fleet, ensuring vehicles are safe, reliable, and available to support on-time service delivery. This role directs and coordinates maintenance activities for cutaway vans, SUVs, accessible vehicles, and non-revenue support vehicles, balancing the unique service demands of paratransit with regulatory and operational requirements.
The Superintendent provides both technical and administrative leadership to maintenance teams, ensuring preventive maintenance, corrective repairs, inspections, and warranty management are carried out in compliance with Federal Transit Administration (FTA), Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and internal agency standards.
The Superintendent of Paratransit Maintenance plays a critical leadership role in ensuring that specialized transit services meet the needs of the community's most vulnerable populations. This position requires strong technical knowledge of paratransit vehicle systems, proven leadership skills, and a commitment to safety, accessibility, and service reliability.
