Job Description

The Superintendent will:

  • Manage daily field operations and supervise subcontractor activities.
  • Enforce infection control, safety, and compliance requirements within occupied healthcare facilities.
  • Coordinate closely with hospital staff and facility representatives to minimize operational disruptions.
  • Review construction drawings, specifications, and project requirements to ensure quality execution.
  • Monitor project schedules, progress, and workmanship to keep projects on track.
  • Lead daily site meetings and maintain accurate project documentation and field reports.
  • Resolve field issues proactively and communicate solutions to project stakeholders.
  • Oversee quality control and ensure adherence to project standards and client expectations.
  • Support punch list completion, closeout activities, and project turnover documentation.
  • Maintain a professional jobsite environment while managing work in sensitive, occupied facilities.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Superintendent should have:

  • Experience managing commercial interior construction projects as a Superintendent.
  • Ability to lead projects within occupied healthcare or other highly sensitive environments.
  • Strong knowledge of site safety, subcontractor management, and schedule coordination.
  • Experience reviewing construction drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work throughout the DC Metro and Baltimore region.
