Job Description
The Superintendent will report to senior operations leadership and will be responsible for leading all on-site construction activities for commercial projects. The Superintendent will ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Manage daily field operations from project startup through completion
- Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and project stakeholders
- Develop and maintain project schedules and milestone tracking
- Enforce safety standards and regulatory compliance on-site
- Conduct quality control inspections and oversee project workmanship
- Collaborate with Project Managers to resolve scheduling, budget, and operational challenges
- Foster strong relationships with clients, design teams, inspectors, and trade partners

The Successful Applicant
A successful 'Superintendent - Municipal/Higher Education' should have:
- Experience overseeing commercial construction work in the field.
- Experience coordinating subcontractors and daily jobsite activities.
- Ability to read and apply construction plans and specifications.
- Experience tracking project progress and schedule needs.
- Knowledge of jobsite safety practices.
- Ability to communicate clearly with project stakeholders.

- Minimum 5 years of Superintendent or field leadership experience
- Proven commercial construction project experience
- Strong preference for municipal, higher education, civic, institutional, or adaptive reuse project backgrounds

- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and project stakeholders effectively
- Strong understanding of scheduling, site logistics, safety, and quality control processes
- Experience overseeing projects from ground-up construction and/or significant renovations
- Ability to work locally within the greater Nashville market
