Description

The Superintendent - Large Scale Industrial Projects - Charleston will be responsible for:

    • Lead all on-site construction activities from groundbreaking through closeout
    • Develop and maintain project schedules while driving milestone completion
    • Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel
    • Ensure all work is performed in accordance with safety standards and company policies
    • Conduct regular site inspections to maintain quality control and workmanship standards
    • Partner closely with Project Managers, owners, architects, and consultants throughout the project lifecycle
    • Manage site logistics, material deliveries, equipment, and workforce planning
    • Identify and resolve field issues proactively to minimize schedule impacts and cost overruns

Profile

The Superintendent - Large Scale Industrial Projects - Charleston will have:

    • 5+ years of Superintendent experience with a commercial general contractor
    • Proven track record managing ground-up commercial construction projects
    • Strong understanding of scheduling, sequencing, and field operations
    • Ability to lead subcontractors and large field teams effectively
    • Experience utilizing construction management software such as Procore or similar platforms
    • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills
    • OSHA certification preferred
    • Stable career history with demonstrated project success

Requirements 5+ years of construction Project Manager experience with a general contractor is required Experience on ground-up education, healthcare, and/or commercial construction projects is required Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or relevant degree preferred Applicable Project Management Software experience preferred Developed thorough understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes, standards, etc. and their impact on project success Maintains good communication and interpersonal skills to interact with anyone from clients to subcontractors Must be a business-oriented person and act professionally when representing the employer at any level Local to Charlotte preferred, though relocators will be considered
