Construction Superintendent

Job Description

  • Manage daily field operations for assigned construction projects.
  • Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and site personnel.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules to ensure timely completion.
  • Enforce company safety standards and OSHA compliance requirements.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to maintain quality control.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers to track progress, budgets, and resources.
  • Review construction drawings, specifications, and project documents.
  • Lead jobsite meetings and communicate updates to key stakeholders.
  • Identify and resolve field issues proactively to minimize project delays.
  • Maintain accurate project records, reports, and documentation.
  • Ensure all work is performed according to plans, specifications, and company standards.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Building and Construction Superintendent should have:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent in commercial construction.
  • Proven track record managing projects from groundbreaking through completion.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, and building systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
  • Familiarity with project management and construction software.
  • Deep understanding of OSHA regulations and jobsite safety practices.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
