Our client is a premier luxury residential General Contractor specializing in some of New York City's most sophisticated interior renovation projects. Their portfolio includes full-gut penthouse renovations, landmark brownstone restorations, duplex combinations, and custom townhouses featuring intricate millwork, premium finishes, and architect-driven designs.
Job Description
As a Superintendent - Construction - Manhattan, you will be responsible for:
- Managing all day-to-day field operations on luxury residential renovation projects
- Supervising subcontractors, vendors, and site personnel
- Maintaining project schedules and driving milestone completion
- Coordinating architects, designers, consultants, and ownership teams
- Overseeing custom millwork, cabinetry, stone, metal, and specialty finish installations
- Conducting quality control inspections throughout all phases of construction
- Managing occupied building logistics and neighborhood coordination
- Leading jobsite safety meetings and enforcing OSHA requirements
- Reviewing construction drawings, specifications, and shop drawings
- Coordinating material procurement, deliveries, and storage logistics
- Identifying and resolving field issues proactively
- Maintaining daily reports, schedules, and project documentation
- Managing punch-list completion and project turnover

The Successful Applicant
The successful candidate will have:
- 5+ years of Superintendent experience in construction
- Extensive experience managing high-end residential interior renovations
- Proven experience with penthouses, brownstones, duplexes, townhouses, or luxury apartments
- Strong understanding of custom millwork, cabinetry, stone, and specialty finishes
- Experience working with luxury homeowners, architects, and interior designers
- Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings
- Proven ability to manage subcontractors and maintain project schedules
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to exceptional craftsmanship
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities
- OSHA 30 Certification preferred
