Superintendent - Construction - Brooklyn
Our client is a premier luxury residential General Contractor specializing in complex interior renovations throughout Brooklyn and New York City. Their portfolio includes historic brownstone restorations, penthouse gut renovations, townhouse transformations, and custom residences featuring intricate millwork, premium finishes, and architect-driven designs.
As a Superintendent - Construction - Brooklyn, you will be responsible for:
- Managing all day-to-day field operations on luxury residential renovation projects
- Supervising subcontractors, vendors, and site personnel
- Maintaining project schedules and driving milestone completion
- Coordinating architects, designers, consultants, and ownership teams
- Overseeing custom millwork, cabinetry, stone, metal, and specialty finish installations
- Conducting quality control inspections throughout all phases of construction
- Managing occupied-building and neighborhood logistics
- Leading daily safety meetings and ensuring OSHA compliance
- Reviewing construction drawings, specifications, and shop drawings
- Coordinating material procurement, deliveries, and site logistics
- Identifying and resolving field issues proactively
- Maintaining daily reports, schedules, and project documentation
- Managing punch-list completion and project turnover
The successful candidate will have:
- 5+ years of Superintendent experience in construction
- Extensive experience managing high-end residential interior renovations
- Proven experience with brownstones, penthouses, duplexes, townhouses, or luxury apartment renovations
- Strong understanding of custom millwork, cabinetry, stone, plaster, and specialty finishes
- Experience working with luxury homeowners, architects, and interior designers
- Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings
- Strong scheduling and subcontractor management skills
- Experience coordinating work in occupied residential environments
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities
- OSHA 30 Certification preferred
