Position OverviewPeople Source OKC is hiring an experienced
Concrete Superintendent for a commercial concrete company in Oklahoma City. This is a leadership position for someone with a strong background in commercial concrete construction who has experience
running an entire jobsite from start to finish.We are looking for a Superintendent who understands concrete construction, can read and interpret plans, understands elevations and anchor bolt layouts, and can effectively manage crews, schedules, materials, and day-to-day field operations.
Job Responsibilities- Oversee and manage commercial concrete projects from start through completion
- Run daily jobsite operations and coordinate field crews
- Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, specifications, and details
- Understand and verify elevations, grades, layouts, and measurements
- Review and coordinate anchor bolt layouts and placement
- Oversee concrete forming, reinforcing, placement, finishing, and related field activities
- Plan daily manpower, equipment, materials, and production needs
- Coordinate concrete pours and ensure crews are prepared for scheduled work
- Monitor project schedules and ensure work remains on track
- Coordinate with Project Managers, subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and other trades
- Verify that work is completed according to plans and project specifications
- Identify and resolve field issues before they impact production or scheduling
- Monitor workmanship, quality, and productivity
- Maintain an organized and safe jobsite
- Enforce company and jobsite safety requirements
- Provide leadership and direction to foremen and field employees
Requirements- Previous commercial concrete Superintendent experience required
- Strong hands-on background in concrete construction required
- Must have experience independently running commercial construction jobsites
- Strong ability to read and interpret construction plans and blueprints
- Must understand elevations, grades, layouts, and benchmarks
- Knowledge of anchor bolt layout and placement
- Strong understanding of concrete forming, reinforcing, pouring, and finishing processes
- Experience coordinating crews, manpower, materials, and equipment
- Ability to plan ahead and maintain project schedules
- Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to communicate effectively with Project Managers, field crews, subcontractors, and other trades
- Strong attention to detail and understanding of construction quality standards
- Dependable attendance and ability to work hours required by project schedules
