We are seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead on-site construction operations for complex commercial projects. This role is responsible for ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Description

The Superintendent - Commercial Interiors - Charlotte will be responsible for:

• • Manage all on-site construction activities from project startup through completion.
  • Direct field personnel, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure efficient project execution.
  • Develop and maintain short-term and long-term construction schedules.
  • Monitor project progress and proactively address issues impacting schedule, safety, or quality.
  • Conduct daily site inspections and ensure adherence to project plans and specifications.
  • Lead coordination meetings with project teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
  • Enforce safety policies and maintain compliance with all company and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate material deliveries, site logistics, and workforce planning.
  • Collaborate closely with Project Managers to manage project budgets, schedules, and client expectations.
  • Oversee punch-list completion, closeout activities, and final project turnover.

Profile

The Superintendent - Commercial Interiors - Charlotte will have:

• • Proven experience as a Superintendent managing commercial construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, scheduling, and field operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead subcontractors and field teams effectively.
  • Comprehensive understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and safety regulations.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining quality and schedule commitments.
  • Proficiency with construction management software and reporting tools.

Requirements 5+ years of construction Project Manager experience with a general contractor is required Experience on ground-up education, healthcare, and/or commercial construction projects is required Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or relevant degree preferred Applicable Project Management Software experience preferred Developed thorough understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes, standards, etc. and their impact on project success Maintains good communication and interpersonal skills to interact with anyone from clients to subcontractors Must be a business-oriented person and act professionally when representing the employer at any level Local to Charlotte preferred, though relocators will be considered
