Superintendent - Commercial ConstructionSmall General Contractor based in Canton, MA is looking for a Superintendent to join their team! Opportunity to lead smaller jobs up to $10M & have a real impact on a growing business!The Superintendent - Commercial Construction will:Maintain project schedule and monitor the work of trade contractors, provide three-week window schedules to Project Management.Plan, coordinate and supervise onsite functions (scheduling, engineering, material control, coordination of the work, and the activities of the Owner).Supervise total construction effort to ensure project is constructed in accordance with design, budget, and schedule.Interface with client representatives, architect and engineering representatives, other contractors, etc.Schedule and conduct coordination meetings with trade contractors to jointly discuss procedures, process, problems, and scheduling.Determine adequacy of trade contractors personnel and equipment and the availability of supplies to meet the schedule.Inspect the work of trade contractors for defects and omissions.Record the progress of the project via daily job reports.Coordinate receipt and storage of construction materials onsite, provide initial quality control inspections.Monitor job safety and security policies, ensuring all onsite personnel comply with project procedures, safety program requirements, work rules, etc.Conduct and document daily inspections.Document all violations, notifying project management, and recommending / implementing corrective actions as required.Review and comment on shop drawings, maintaining as built records.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
