Sunquest LIS Analyst

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Reviews documentation periodically, updating as needed.
New Development:
• Produces accurate modifications to LIS consistent with the agreed to design. This includes adhering to LIS and subsystem standards, using properly structured programming techniques, completing clear documentation internally and externally, and avoiding data and documentation side effects.
• Develops complete and accurate structured system acceptance test plans.
Required Work Experience: 3 to 6 years' experience with increasing responsibility in the implementation, configuration, deployment, maintenance and ongoing support of information systems, laboratory computer applications.
Preferred Work Experience: Work experience or detailed understanding of operations in a clinical setting or discipline. Microbiology experience. Understanding of the healthcare information system environment.
Physical and Mental Requirements: Knowledge: Sunquest LIS knowledge is required. Microbiology knowledge.


Required Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Medical Technology or another related field desired.
Preferred Education: Knowledge of and basic experience with project management life cycle and the project management techniques.
