Job Title: Sunday Reference Librarian

Reports To: Librarian for Assessment & Instruction

Status: Part-Time, Non-Exempt

Work Schedule: Sundays, 11:00 AM - 7:00 PM (7.5 hrs./week), Fall and Spring semesters

This is an on-campus position.

Summary

Mount Saint Mary College seeks a professional, independent, and service-oriented Sunday Reference Librarian to join our library team.

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide reference services to library users in-person and via email, chat, and phone.
• Open the library at the start of the Sunday shift.
• Assist at the circulation desk whenever necessary.
• Supervise work-study and part-time student workers.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

Knowledge of and/or experience in academic research and resources is required. Candidates with an M.L.S. or equivalent degree from an ALA-accredited institution (completed or in progress) will be considered.
