Position Description & Details

Position Summary: This position will be responsible for preparing and maintaining Minot State University Facilities for resident halls and summer camps, which includes custodial duties:

• Cleans, renovates, and renews floor surface finishes and operates related equipment.
• Cleans and dusts furniture, fixtures, and related furnishings.
• Collects and removes wastepaper and other debris.
• Provides sanitary conditions in washrooms, and washes windows, walls, and woodwork.
• Cleans walkways and generally assists in keeping outside areas in a clean and orderly condition.
• Move furniture around for equipment use.

Students will be Summer Workers for the resident Halls.

Qualifications:

• Requires the equivalent of successful completion of high school and one year of custodial experience.
• Must have the ability to perform the described custodial duties including knowledge of methods, equipment, and supplies used in the cleaning and upkeep of facilities.
• Training is available to learn more skills with running equipment and proper care of equipment.
• Must be physically able to perform a variety of manual tasks, climb ladders, and lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Must have good interpersonal skills and the ability to interact positively with the public.

Full time 40 hours per week and part time 20 hours mornings or afternoons are available.
