Overview Ameron is a leader in the manufacture of poles for street lighting and traffic control. Our extensive line of Ameron brand products can be used in residential areas and commercial developments, including streets, highways, shopping centers and pedestrian pathways. From industrial to DOT to municipal, we have just the right pole. We are seeking a motivated sophomore or junior-level engineering student to join our Product Engineering team for the summer. This role will focus on improving and standardizing production drawings while gaining hands-on experience working alongside design engineers in a manufacturing environment.ResponsibilitiesAssist with updating and validating Bills of Material (BOMs) within our ERP/MRP system (JEE)Support BOM uploads and data cleanup efforts for active projectsWork with engineering and operations teams to ensure accurate material and routing dataAssist in developing and refining 3D models for traffic structure productsHelp identify opportunities to improve data accuracy and workflow efficiencySupport CI initiatives focused on standardization and process improvementWhat You'll GainHands-on experience with ERP/MRP systems and how they drive manufacturingExposure to real-world production planning and scheduling challengesExperience working at the intersection of engineering, operations, and data systemsOpportunity to contribute to meaningful process improvementsQualificationsPursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field (Sophomore or Junior preferred)Interest in manufacturing systems, data, or process improvementFamiliarity with Excel; CAD experience (Inventor preferred) is a plusStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsDetail-oriented with a desire to improve processes#J-18808-Ljbffr
