CPR Certification, First Aid, Housekeeping/Cleaning, Recreation, Time Management
PRIMARY FUNCTION
Primary responsibilities involve assisting with the planning, organization, supervision and evaluation of the summer Playground program. The normal work period for this position is 7 weeks (8 weeks if a tournament is scheduled).
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Read and apply information in the Manual of Recreation Material for Summer Playgrounds.
- Attend all training, workshops and meetings.
- Prepare schedule of the summer sessions.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification required
- Keep Playground Clean and Safe
- Playgrounds must be supervised at all times.
- Check play equipment daily when you arrive at your site to make sure it is safe for use.
RELATED RESPONSIBILITIES
- Submit yearly report to Playground Supervisors
- Submit weekly attendance reports to the Playground Supervisors
- Notify the Playground Supervisors of needed supplies
- Monitor dress code as spelled out in the manual
- Recruit responsible volunteers to assist on playground assigned task
- Report all accidents, destruction of property and violations of rules to the Playground Supervisors
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Report all absences in a timely manner to Playground Supervisors
- Be responsible for keys to assigned area or school
- Other duties as appropriate to the position and/or assigned by the Playground Supervisors.
