SUE Field Technician

Location: Carrollton, TX
Schedule: Full-time, typically 10-hour shifts with overtime as needed
Pay: $20 - $22 per hour, depending on experience
Work Arrangement: Field-based, outdoor work with travel throughout Texas

ARS is seeking an entry-level SUE Field Technician. No previous SUE or utility experience is required. This is a hands-on, learn-as-you-go position with all training provided on the job.

The Field Technician will work as part of a Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) field crew to help locate, investigate, and document underground utilities. This position is a good fit for someone who enjoys working outdoors, is dependable, willing to learn, and comfortable taking direction from experienced crew members.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Valid Texas driver's license
• Excellent driving record
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
• Dependable
• Willingness to learn, take direction, ask questions, and receive feedback
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Willingness to travel throughout Texas, approximately 50% of the time

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Learn SUE field procedures and utility investigation methods
• Learn to safely use field equipment and tools
• Follow crew leader instructions and established safety procedures
• Assist with maintaining equipment and keeping work areas organized
• Follow ARS quality-control and safety standards
