Description
The Success Coach enhances students' success through academic success coaching, goal achievement and monitoring, study skills development, psychometric assessments, appreciative advising techniques, and a variety of college resources. The Success Coach is the key point of contact for at-risk students referred to through the STARS Early Alert Program and empowers them to identify and analyze academic concerns while developing proactive solutions and written student action plans. The Coach collaborates closely with referring constituents to ensure effective communication of concerns, problem resolution, and case closure. Utilizing predictive analytics, the Success Coach provides intrusive counsel to students individually and in groups to motivate them to be independent, self-regulated, and confident learners. The Success Coach also assists in the development and implementation of programs and services designed to promote the Academic Success Center and the engagement and retention of first-time-in-college students, including web based and social media marketing.
