POSITION SUMMARY:
Performs and directs overall Subway management. Responsible for inventory and money control systems. Directs staff to ensure that food safety, product preparation, and cleanliness standards are maintained. Maintains standards of restaurant safety and security. Recruits staff and oversees training program. May contact prospective customers to promote sales – may establish inventory schedules. Responsible for local marketing initiatives. Maintains business records. Exceptional customer service is a major component of this position.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Recruits, rewards, coaches, disciplines, and terminates staff as needed.
- Completes and posts the staff work schedules.
- Maintains business records as outlined in the SUBWAY® Operations Manual. Analyzes business records to increase sales.
- Communicates changes of food preparations formulas, standards, etc. to staff.
- Supports local and national marketing initiatives.
- Ensures that all local and national health and food safety codes are maintained and company safety and security policy are followed.
- Identifies and contacts prospective customers to promote sales.
- Plans special events and promotions
- Completes online coursework on the University of SUBWAY® as directed.
- Responsible for (direct) supervision of all shifts, using shift duty sheets to verify completion of duties.
- Responsible for covering shifts when employees call in or don't show up
- Responsible for performing team member responsibilities including and not limited to cashiering.
- Ensures compliance of store personnel with policies and procedures, including established security, sales, and record keeping procedures and practices
- Assists customers and responds to customer's complaints or inquiries
- Execution of promotions and marketing
- Manage labor according to company guidelines

Supervisory Responsibilities
The store manager is responsible to oversees and manage all Subway stores personnel. Stores are comprised of one, two, or three shifts.

Education and Experience
Employee must possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience, preferred.
