SUBSTITUTE TEACHER

Position Opening SUBSTITUTE ELEMENTARY, MIDDLE AND HIGH SCHOOL TEACHER DESCRIPTION: Substitute for Port Angeles School District Teachers at the elementary, middle and high school levels. QUALIFICATIONS: Valid Washington State teaching certificate or obtain an emergency substitute teaching certificate. Highly skilled at building relationships with children and families. Experience creating and maintaining a positive learning environment. Use a variety of instructional strategies to help all students learn. Ability to follow instructions and curriculum provided by teacher. Ability to maintain control of students in a classroom setting. Availability to accept jobs at short notice. Ability to collect meaningful data to drive instruction in a way that all students will have an opportunity to learn. Ability to develop and maintain strong, productive relationships with other employees, parents, and students where everyone is treated with dignity and respect. Team player who will consistently collaborate with grade level partner and other staff. Maintain appropriate levels of confidentiality in all matters pertaining to students, parents, staff, and program. Experience providing an enthusiastic and positive learning climate that promotes appropriate behavior and successful learning. This is on-site and in person BA or BS preferred Responding to stressful situations appropriately. Maintaining regular attendance and punctuality. All positions are on site and in person. Wages - Teachers $87.50 half day & $175.00 full day Benefits - Medical, Retirement, Basic Life/AD&D, Basic Long-Term Disability, FSA & HSA.
