    Job Summary

    Job Summary

    The Part-Time Substitute Supervising Teacher will be assigned to a specific Horizon Charter School academy and will support the academic progress and engagement of a small caseload of students. This position will perform the essential responsibilities of a supervising teacher, including maintaining regular communication with students and families, monitoring student progress, providing instructional support, and completing required documentation. The substitute supervising teacher will also provide coverage and support for additional students when full-time supervising teachers are absent. While this position is not responsible for adjunct duties, the teacher will attend academy, student-support, IEP, or other meetings that are directly relevant to the students they serve. The ideal candidate is flexible, collaborative, student-centered, and able to provide consistent support within Horizon's independent study instructional model.
