ESS has partnered with the Manchester School District to place passionate Substitute Teachers in the classroom for 2026/2027 School Year! We are currently looking for a dynatic Grade 4 Long-Term Substitute Teacher to support the Waddell Elementary School Community, with an anticipated need from January 2027 through April 2027.

When a teacher is absent, a qualified substitute is needed to carry out the educational program. As a long substitute teacher, you'll become an integral part of a school's educational team, amplifying your teaching expertise while maximizing the learning experience for students! . As a long-term substitute, you will be responsible to implementing provided lesson plans, grading/reporting, parent communication and classroom management. This position will have support from the Administration and Department Leads.

Qualifications

• Valid Connecticut State Department of Education Certification preferred, minimum bachelors degree with 12 elementary education credits
• CT/FBI Criminal History Clearance
• Department of Children and Families Child Abuse and Neglect Registry Record Clearance
• Education Employment Verification - Act 16-67
• Certification in Physical Management Training (PMT) is preferred.
