In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the safety and security of our school campuses by monitoring and maintaining a secure environment. You will report directly to the school principal or their designated representative, responding to incidents in a timely and effective manner. Your proactive approach to risk identification and problem-solving will help maintain a safe and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors alike.
Key Responsibilities
- Patrol and monitor school premises to prevent unauthorized activities.
- Respond to alarms and incidents, providing assistance as required.
- Liaise with school staff and law enforcement to address safety concerns.
- Conduct regular checks of security systems and report issues.
- Document and report security incidents promptly and clearly.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in security or law enforcement.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in emergency situations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical ability to perform security duties, including standing for prolonged periods.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
