    POSITION: Substitute Receptionist for Administration Office

    SUMMARY: Provides all reception duties for the administration building, including answering incoming phone calls, processing all outgoing mail and packages, welcoming visitors and directing them to the proper personnel, and support administration staff as required.

    MINIMAL QUALIFICATIONS:

    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Demonstrated computer expertise; ability to learn required computer programs necessary to perform the job responsibility.
    • Microsoft Office proficiency.
    • MiStar knowledge preferred.
    • Public relations skills necessary for working with the public.
    • Be able to prioritize work schedule and be flexible.
    • Excellent telephone and organizational skills.
    • Congeniality in working with and dealing with people of all ages.
    • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and professionalism.
    • Ability to perform duties under pressure, work independently and follow through with projects.
    • Have a good prior work record regarding attendance, punctuality, dependability, positive attitude and cooperation with other personnel.

    MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (May include but not be limited to):

    • Handle all incoming telephone calls with efficiency and a professional attitude.
    • Communicate in such a way as to convey a positive image of the school district and its staff to the community.
    • Provide receptionist duties for the administration building.
    • Coordinate with Technology on security assignments, proxy cards and staff IDs.
    • Render secretarial and clerical assistance to the central office administrators.
    • Responsible for accurately sorting, receiving, and dispersing all U.S. mail, U.P.S. and other delivery services.
    • Coordinate office supply orders for the Central Office.
    • Responsible for recording, maintaining and transferring of all student records, as well as keep CA-60 request file.
    • Assist with enrolling new students, including entering data into MiStar and preparing enrollment packets.
    • Handle all transcript requests, work permits and education verifications.
    • Provide backup to Human Resources for Live Scan fingerprinting process.
    • Maintain lobby kiosk with brochures and other district informational handouts.
    • Organize reception area for maximum efficiency and maintains professional environment.
    • Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
    • Perform other duties as assigned by the Human Resources Director.

    BUILDING: Central Office Vacation Coverage

    COMPENSATION: Starting at $15.00/per hour
