Fargo Public Schools is seeking caring, dependable individuals to join our substitute support staff team.

Position Purpose

Provide instructional and non-instructional support to teachers and students throughout the school day. Responsibilities may include:

• Assisting teachers in classrooms, including Special Education classrooms
• Supporting students during instructional activities
• Supervising students in the lunchroom, on the playground, or during study halls
• Assisting in school offices, libraries, or other school programs
• Performing other duties as assigned based on school needs

Schedules vary based on school needs and your availability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and families
• Ability to work collaboratively in a school environment
• Experience or willingness to work with students with special needs is preferred
• Willingness to supervise students during lunch and recess is preferred

Pay

• $14.54 per hour
• $15.04 per hour for retired paraeducators
