Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; college level coursework preferred.
- Must have a current State of Delaware Registered Nurse license.
- Performs general nursing work, including givingm edications, inputting information in the computer, and writing accident reports.
- Applicant must demonstrate a level of knowledge and/or experience appropriate to the position.
- Ability to interact effectively with diverse groups of students, staff, parents, and community members in a professional manner.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions with limited supervision.
- Ability to adjust and adapt to a multitude of situations in a school environment.
- Ability to effectively communicate in English (read, write, speak). Bi-lingual substitute candidates desired.
- Ability to demonstrate the following core values: integrity, high expectations, commitment, respect, dedication to teamwork and passion for student centered environment.
- Ability to perform the following actions with full range of motion and manual dexterity: bending, moderate lifting, twisting, carrying and moving objects, and reaching.
- Punctuality and dependability are essential functions of the job.
- Favorable criminal background check (CBC) for the candidate(s) offered employment required. CBC fee to be paid by the applicant.
- Child Protection Registry check for the candidate(s) offered employment required. The $14 Child Protection Registry fee is paid by the applicant.
- Tuberculin test required. There is a fee that is paid by the applicant.
- Participation in direct deposit required.
Rates:
As per State compensation guidelines: $23.87 per hour up to 29 hours/week; exclusive of long term assignments.
Specific work times will be determined based on school assignment
