Substitute Food Service Worker
SALARY: $16.29/hour
A full BCI (Ohio) and FBI (Federal) background check must be completed and sent to the Ohio Department of Education, upon offer of employment.
Ohio law requires candidates for employment in schools to have a criminal records check.
The Ohio Department of Education will verify that a records check is satisfactory for issuance of a teaching license or educational aide permit.
For initial employment by any organization, the records check must be no more than 12 months old, even if you are currently working for another educational organization.
Cost for background check completed at Loveland Schools is $50, cash, check or charge.
Job Title: Food Service Worker GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Provide assistance for food service operations in the school district. Perform work in cooperation with all food service employees to maintain efficiency and cleanliness for entire cafeteria/food service operations.

Ability to estimate the amount of food needed for one day's menu.
Baking and cooking skills.
Basic math skills for preparing recipes proportional to lunch population and cashier responsibilities.

Occasional exposure to blood, bodily fluids, and tissue.
Occasional interaction with unruly children.
Occasional requirement to travel, i.e., pick up food and/or materials.
Occasional ability to work evenings, weekends, summers.
Frequent requirement to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, see (ability to see color), read, speak, reach, stretch with hands and arms, stoop.
Frequent excessive standing during assigned workday.
Frequent requirement to lift various foodstuffs up to a maximum of 50 pounds.
Repetitive hand motion, e.g., cutting and grinding.
Occasional overtime work will be requested and expected of the employee.
Occasional requirement to crouch, kneel and climb.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job has no direct supervisory responsibilities. However, it may periodically supervise a certified occupational therapy assistant.
