JOB TITLE: Food Service Worker I DESCRIPTION: Under general supervision of the Food Service Manager, the Food Service Worker I performs daily food service activities to include assisting with the preparation of school lunches, serving meals to students and site staff, performing routine cleaning and other related work as required.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: may include but not limited to • Assist in the preparation of school breakfast and lunch by cooking, i.e., assembling, heating, and packaging, and serving food. • Receive, store, and inventory supplies according to department procedures. • Set up serving lines, including condiments, straws, milk, etc. • Serve food and drinks at serving lines in an efficient and proper manner. • Count and record monies and meals served. • Clean and wash dishes, utensils, equipment, work areas, and tables. • Perform other related duties as requested.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education, Training, and Experience:
JOB PROFILE: Daily hours range from 3 to 8 per day, 5 days per week, 10 months per year.
SALARY: Salary range is $6. Fringe benefits are offered with four (4) or more hours worked per day.
Requirements and Qualifications: This is a pool for on-call as needed substitute food service worker I. Days and hours will vary depending on need. Food service and catering experience preferred. Fingerprint Clearance through the Department of Justice. Skin test or X-Ray for tuberculosis is required every 4 years. Physical exam by a district-selected physician may be required upon employment.
