QUALIFICATIONS:

• Knowledge of general cleaning procedures
• Ability to learn district custodial practices and procedures
• Ability to learn the use of custodial equipment
• Ability to properly use and maintain custodial equipment and supplies
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

GENERAL FUNCTIONS:

Substitute Custodians maintain the physical appearance of assigned building areas. Responsibilities include sweeping and mopping floors, cleaning and sanitizing rest rooms, dusting surfaces, emptying trash, and picking up litter in and around the building. Work is based on employee absenteeism and there are no guaranteed hours or benefits.
