Substitute Bus Drivers

Substitute Bus Drivers cover a variety of bus routes and trips as needed at various school locations. Follow safety rules in the operation of the school bus. Comply with traffic regulations in order operate the bus in a safe and courteous manner. Drive a school bus to transport students between home and school along with school activity trips. Provide supervision of students on the bus. Communicate effectively and professionally with students, parents, teachers, principals, and co-workers. Submit to random drug testing as mandated by Federal and State law. Always comply with instructions in regard to bus routes, bus schedules and instructions for loading and unloading passengers, and promptly file all required reports.

Team player: able to learn and perform their tasks to assist co-workers, reliable and self-motivated. Perform other duties as assigned.

All training is paid for by the District including all licensure. Licensure needed and is part of the paid training is CDL, Class B, and PNS Endorsements. All training is done In-House including testing. Testing is done in Reedsburg on the road and the School District parking lot. Employee continues training until they feel comfortable at which time testing will be set up. Bonuses are available!

We serve over 2,600 students starting with Early Childhood programs, 4-K, 5-K, and grades 1 through 12. The district covers about 264 square miles in Sauk and Juneau counties. We take pride in providing a safe learning environment for our students and staff.
