Summary GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF A CLASSIFIED WORKER: The substitute classified bus driver will work on an on-call basis under the direction and supervision of the transportation department. Substitute Classified Workers perform the duties of regular classified staff members who are temporarily away from their assignment.

Essential Job Functions - • Perform the duties of a regular classified bus driver in their absence • Operate a school bus safely and efficiently • Maintain a safe and orderly environment for students • Follow all district policies and procedures • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff
Other Functions - • May be required to perform other duties as assigned by the transportation department
Mental Demands - • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Ability to handle stress and pressure in a fast-paced environment • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
Physical Demands - • Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) • Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time • Ability to bend and stoop to perform tasks • Ability to see and hear clearly
Minimum Qualifications EDUCATION, LICENSE, CERTIFICATION, FORMAL TRAINING - • High school diploma or equivalent • Valid commercial drivers license (CDL) with a school bus endorsement • First aid and CPR certification • Ability to pass a background check and obtain a TB test
