D.C. Everest is accepting applications for Substitute Assistants for the 2026-2027 school year. Substitute Assistants have the opportunity to sub as Education Assistants, English Learner Assistants, and Special Education Assistants. Subbing is a great option for those looking for flexibility - choose your days, hours, and schools!
Short-Term Substitute Education Assistant/English Learner Assistant - $15.00 per hour
Long-Term Substitute Education Assistant/English Learner Assistant - $16.00 per hour
Short-Term Substitute Special Education Assistant - $16.50 per hour
Long-Term Substitute Special Education Assistant - $17.50 per hour
Substitute Assistants are paid long-term pay when subbing in one assignment for more than five consecutive days.
DPI Licensure is required for Substitute Assistants that work with our Special Education students - we will help you apply for the license and pay for it! The only requirement for the license is that you are age 18 or over.
Substitute Assistants can also earn an additional stipend for their total of short-term (excludes long-term) days worked each semester, in addition to the hourly pay. The stipend will only be paid to Substitute Assistants actively employed on the last day of the semester in which they are eligible for the stipend.

30-39 Days Worked - $225
40-49 Days Worked - $300
50-59 Days Worked - $375
60-69 Days Worked - $450
70-79 Days Worked - $525
