    BARBOUR COUNTY FILE: G-60 INSTRUCTIONAL AIDE Qualifications - High school diploma; ability to use oral and written English fluently; ability to interpret and follow oral and written instructions; ability to perform the physical activity required with specialized program. Supervisor - Person to whom assigned; principal; teacher; bus operator. Classification(s) - AIDE I- Personnel selected and trained for teacher aide classification such as monitor aide, clerical aide, classroom aide, transportation aide, and general aide. AIDE II- Personnel who have completed a training program approved by the State Board of Education or who hold a high school diploma or have received a general educational development certificate. Only Aide II class title personnel shall be employed as an aide in any special education program. AIDE III- Personnel who hold a high school diploma or a general education development certificate and have completed six semester hours of college credit at an institution of higher education or are employed as an aide in special education program and have one year's experience as an aide in special education.     2. Supervise individual students or small groups of children while under the direction of their immediate supervisor.
    3. Operate audiovisual equipment and technology.
    4. Assist with record keeping and clean up tasks.
    5. Perform physical and health-related activities with students as required with applicable IEP or program directives.
    6. Maintain positive work habits.
    7. Perform duties efficiently and productively.
    8. Participate in in-service and/or other related training programs to maintain or upgrade skills. Performance Standards -
    9. Reports to work on a regular basis at the time(s) scheduled for the performance of his/her duties.
    10. Observes all rules and regulations established for his/her particular work station.
    11. Accepts responsibility in a cooperative manner.
    12. Performs assigned duties efficiently and with/without close supervision.
    13. Prepares assigned reports and records promptly and accurately.
    14. Follows directions and demonstrates good judgment.
    15. Demonstrates evidence of good personal hygiene.
    16. Completes required professional development programs.
