Description

Seeking an experienced Project Manager to support the continued growth of its Transmission & Distribution (T&D) business. This is a long-term opportunity with a well-established Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) firm supporting critical power delivery infrastructure projects throughout the region.

The Project Manager will lead substation projects from initiation through execution, ensuring successful delivery of scope, schedule, budget, and quality objectives. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in substation engineering and design, proven project management experience, and the leadership skills needed to drive project success and support team growth.

This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a robust project pipeline, work with key utility clients, and play a meaningful role in the continued expansion of a respected EPC organization.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Serve as a key point of contact for clients and support ongoing account management activities.
  • Conduct quality reviews of substation design projects, including physical and protection & control (P&C) designs.
  • Provide performance feedback to leadership and assist with project staffing decisions to support employee development.
  • Collaborate with project managers across multiple offices and mentor junior project management professionals.
  • Support recruiting, employee development, and retention initiatives to help grow and strengthen the team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor"s degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 7 years of engineering design and project management experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, influence stakeholders, and manage change effectively.
  • Strong understanding of project financials, risk management, scheduling, and scope management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to meet applicable driving and travel requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license strongly preferred.
  • 10+ years of engineering design and project management experience.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification and/or advanced degree in Engineering or Construction Management.

  • Travel: Up to 20%

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fort Worth, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $85.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
