Description
A services organization in New York City is seeking a dedicated Substance Use Specialist to join their ACT team.
About the Opportunity:
- Start Date: Immediate
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Hours: 9am to 5pm
- Setting: Fieldwork
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive support and treatment services to individuals with substance use disorders
- Conduct client assessments and develop tailored treatment plans
- Facilitate client participation in various programs and services
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure holistic care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Social Work or related field
- CASAC certification
- Experience working with individuals with substance use disorders
Desired Skills:
- Compassionate and empathetic approach
- Knowledge of harm reduction principles
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
