Description
A services organization in New York City is seeking a dedicated Substance Use Specialist to join their ACT team.
About the Opportunity:
Start Date: Immediate
Schedule: Monday to Friday
Hours: 9am to 5pm
Setting: Fieldwork
Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive support and treatment services to individuals with substance use disorders
Conduct client assessments and develop tailored treatment plans
Facilitate client participation in various programs and services
Collaborate with other team members to ensure holistic care
Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records
Desired Skills:
Compassionate and empathetic approach
Knowledge of harm reduction principles
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in social work or related field
CASAC certification
Experience working with individuals with substance use disorders
