Make an Impact in Addiction Recovery

Pyramid Healthcare is seeking an experienced Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist (LCAS) to join our clinical team in Jacksonville, NC.

This position provides clinical services to individuals receiving treatment for substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions across outpatient through Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) levels of care.

The ideal candidate is a compassionate, clinically skilled professional who enjoys direct clinical care, individual and group counseling, treatment planning, and working with individuals with substance use and co-occurring mental health needs.

What You’ll Do

  • Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments and biopsychosocial evaluations
  • Provide individual, group, and family counseling
  • Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans
  • Facilitate therapeutic and educational groups focused on substance use, recovery, mental health, and relapse prevention
  • Provide clinical services across outpatient through PHP levels of care
  • Monitor client progress and adjust treatment interventions as clinically appropriate
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in the EHR
  • Participate in treatment planning and utilization review meetings
  • Coordinate aftercare and discharge planning to support continuity of care
  • Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation when clinically appropriate
  • Collaborate with nursing, medical, behavioral health, and other members of the multidisciplinary treatment team
  • Participate in program development, curriculum enhancement, and staff training
  • Maintain compliance with North Carolina regulations, licensing requirements, and company policies

Required Qualifications

  • Active Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist (LCAS) license in North Carolina – required
  • Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Clinical experience with substance use disorders and/or co-occurring mental health conditions

Preferred Experience

  • Experience providing individual and group therapy
  • Experience in outpatient, PHP, IOP, residential, or other structured behavioral health settings
  • Familiarity with utilization review and level-of-care recommendations
  • Experience treating individuals with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders
  • Experience using evidence-based approaches such as CBT, DBT, and Motivational Interviewing
  • Experience with treatment planning, clinical documentation, and discharge planning
