Are you an experienced Dental Laboratory Technician looking to leverage your technical expertise beyond the bench? We are seeking a Subject Matter Expert (SME) – Dental Laboratory Technology to drive quality, elevate digital workflows, and provide expert technical leadership across our operations in Tampa, FL.
In this pivotal role, you will bridge the gap between technical production, quality assurance, and customer success. You will serve as the go-to specialist for complex case reviews, CAD/CAM integration, root-cause issue resolution, and continuous process optimization.
Technical Leadership & Case Oversight
Serve as the primary technical authority for fixed/removable restorations, high-aesthetic ceramics, orthodontic appliances, implant-supported frameworks (including All-on-X), and surgical guides.
Review treatment plans, case designs, and final fabrications to guarantee high precision and aesthetic quality.
Digital Workflows & Process Innovation
Guide and refine digital lab operations, including CAD design, CAM milling, 3D printing, and intraoral scan integrations.
Research, test, and implement cutting-edge materials, technologies, and equipment to enhance lab efficiency and product standards.
Quality Assurance & Problem Solving
Conduct root-cause analyses for remakes, product failures, and customer feedback; implement sustainable corrective actions.
Perform process audits and establish standardized guidelines, material requirements, and quality control benchmarks.
Ensure all lab workflows strictly comply with FDA, OSHA, and regulatory standards.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Support
Provide high-level technical support and consultation to internal technicians, customer service teams, and external dental practices.
Partner with product development teams to lead pilot testing, trials, and launches for new materials and services.
Dental Lab Expertise: Proven hands-on experience in dental laboratory technology, restorative aesthetics, and complex implant prosthetics.
Digital Proficiency: Strong expertise in CAD/CAM design software, 3D printing technologies, and digital laboratory workflows.
Problem-Solving Skills: Demonstrated ability to perform root-cause analysis and execute effective corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
Communication & Autonomy: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the self-direction needed to manage projects and meet deadlines with minimal oversight.
Compliance Knowledge: Familiarity with FDA and OSHA regulations governing dental laboratories.
Maintain accurate technical documentation and procedural records.
