Sub Bus Driver

Job summary:

To provide safe, orderly and efficient transportation services, on an as-needed basis when additional drivers are needed to complete all regular routes or extra-curricular routes.

Essential Job Functions:

All duties connected to driving a school bus. This includes, but it is not limited to, bus inspection, and safe transportation of students.

Qualifications

• Be 21 years of age.
• Ability to pass a physical exam every two years.
• Comply with a background check.
• Must possess emotional maturity, willingness to cooperate with the aims of the program, respect for children and adults, flexibility, patience, good personal hygiene, and physical and mental health which does not interfere with responsibilities.
• Must have good verbal communication skills and visual ability to observe children. Ability to fulfill responsibilities under pressure, including during emergencies.

Education: High School Diploma or Higher

Additional Requirements:

Must possess or be able to obtain a Class B CDL, Air Brake, P and S Endorsement . (Training will be provided)

Must undergo and pass background check at your own expense

Must undergo and pass a CDL Physical

Provide Driving Record

Must undergo and pass regular drug tests
