A Sub Arc Welder is responsible for performing submerged arc welding (SAW) on large metal components to ensure strong, high-quality welds that meet required specifications. This role involves setting up and operating automated or semi-automated welding equipment, reading blueprints, and maintaining safety and quality standards throughout the welding process.

Key Responsibilities:
Perform submerged arc welding (SAW) on metal parts, including pipes, tanks, and structural components
Set up, adjust, and operate welding machines and related equipment
Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and technical drawings
Monitor welding processes to ensure proper penetration, bead appearance, and weld integrity
Inspect finished welds to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards
Clean and prepare materials before and after welding
Perform basic maintenance on welding equipment
Follow all workplace safety guidelines and procedures
Work with supervisors and team members to meet production goals

Required Skills & Qualifications:
Experience with submerged arc welding (SAW) preferred
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding symbols
Knowledge of welding equipment and setup procedures
Strong attention to detail and quality control
Good mechanical skills and problem-solving ability
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Education & Experience:
High school diploma or GED required
Welding certification (preferred or required depending on employer)
Previous experience in manufacturing, fabrication, or heavy industry
