Studer Grinder Direct Hire
Our client in Painesville OH is looking for an experienced CNC cylindrical grinder who can independently set up and run Studer machines, hold tight tolerances, and support quality inspection throughout production.
Hours: Pay:- $30+ an hour based of experience
Key Responsibilities:- Set up, adjust, and run Studer CNC cylindrical grinding machines for OD and ID grinding
- Create, optimize, and edit CNC programs for new components and engineering changes
- Select, mount, true, and dress grinding wheels to meet required surface finishes and profiles
- Read and follow engineering drawings, process sheets, and GD&T requirements Perform first piece, in process, and final inspections using precision measuring tools and available CMM data
- Troubleshoot dimensional variation including issues related to thermal drift and wheel wear
- Complete operator level preventive maintenance and basic machine troubleshooting
Minimum Requirements: - Direct experience with Studer CNC cylindrical grinders
- Ability to read blueprints and apply GD&T
- Ability to hold very tight tolerances
- Experience using precision measurement instruments such as micrometers, bore gauges, indicators, and surface finish testers
Preferred Education and Experience: - Experience with StuderWIN or Fanuc style controls
- Experience troubleshooting and improving processes for repeatability and accuracy
- Experience working with tight tolerance or precision components
