INTERNAL/EXTERNAL VACANCY NOTICE September 8, 2026 The Churchill County School District is currently accepting applications for the following position for the 2026-2027 school year. POSITION: Students in Transition Coordinator - Student Services DEFINITION: Provides services to ensure that homeless children and youth enroll in school and have the opportunity to succeed academically. Supports the needs of the homeless children and youth population; ensures the delivery of mandated services to facilitate the student's attendance and access to appropriate education. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Possession of a high school diploma or its equivalent (GED). Minimum of two years' experience working with youth, knowledge of MS products, exceptional organizational and communication skills. A valid Nevada driver's license is required at the time of hire. ROLES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Serves as liaison between homeless families and school staff, district personnel, and other service providers. Assesses students and families; interprets laws relating to homeless students; and works as a team member to develop intervention strategies. Provides case management; monitors student progress, and makes referrals. Monitors grades and attendance, college preparation, FAFSA, scholarships, college applications, and college visits. Maintains and collects program data and necessary records to compile quarterly reports and semiannual program evaluation reports to be submitted to Director of Student Services. This position may require several forms of training and candidate must be able to attend potential weekend trainings. SALARY RANGE: DOE: Range 25-Step A $18.25 through Range 25-Step K $21.92 an hour. Schedule: Seven (7) hours a day; Monday through Friday, and 176 days per year. Benefits included: Public Employers Retirement (PERS), Health Benefits, Sick Leave, and Personal Leave.
