Job Title: Student Worker - Fitness Instructor/Trainer(Summer 2026) - BC Job Classification: Health and Recreation Services, Student Department: Campus Recreation Hiring Manager: Morgan Watson Contact: Morgan_Watson@Baylor.edu Work Schedule: Minimum 6 Hours per week, 5:45AM-10:00PM Sunday-Saturday Desired Length of Employment: SUMMER 2026 Pay Rate: $10.00 - $15.00 Job Description: This position requires employees to instruct or train FitWell Group X classes, including F45, within the FitWell programs and services. Responsibilities include: Plan, develop and provide safe, fun & effective group fitness classes based on recognized guidelines Ensure the safety, maintenance, and security of the facility and equipment Observe participants for proper technique, body posture, and movements for safety Provide appropriate advice and proper resources on routine fitness & wellness questions Work with others to execute risk reduction measures and provide care in emergency situations Encourage the Baylor Community to live active and healthy lives Assist in assigned area of responsibility and perform other duties assigned Provide excellent customer service to clients and visitors Participate in various activities and tasks related to health and recreation Adhere to and ensure safety procedures and precautions are followed Ability to comply with university policies Maintain regular and punctual attendance General qualifications include: Must pass State of Texas criminal background check Experience teaching/training not required but preferred A nationally recognized group exercise certificate required CPR certification within 30 days of employment Display ability to motivate members in class Ability to work as a team Employer: Baylor University Work Location: McLane Student Life Center Work Address: 209 Speight Ave, Waco TX
