Student Worker- Dental Hygiene Clinic Office Assistant

The student worker reports directly to the Division Director of Health Sciences and works with the Dental Hygiene Program Administrative Clinical Specialist and the Program Coordinator in the performance of the job duties by providing assistance in the dental hygiene program operations and student /faculty needs in the clinic facility.

Main Job Duties:

• Assist with patient scheduling and confirm appointments
• Maintenance of active recall system and checking in patients as directed
• Monitor patient compliance with appointment attendance and follow up appointments
• Documentation - maintaining accurate records, logging data, and keeping paperwork updated
• Administrative - filing, data entry, and assisting with other clerical duties as needed
• Other duties as needed to ensure smooth operation of the clinic front office.

Ability to interact effectively and professionally with patients, students, staff, and faculty. Good telephone skills including the use of a multi-line phone. Ability to use computer applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite.

• MUST BE A CURRENT HCC STUDENT FOR THE FALL 2026 SEMESTER.

MUST BE ENROLLED IN AT LEAST 6 CREDITS.

UNLESS FIRST SEMESTER STUDENT, MUST HAVE ATTAINED A 2.0 SEMESTER GPA DURING THE LAST SEMESTER ATTENDED.
